Christian Juttner, '70s Disney child actor, dies at 60 as co-star pays heartfelt tribute

YUCCA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA: Christian Juttner, who acted in movies including 'The Swarm', 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand', and 'Return from Witch Mountain', died at the age of 60 on November 29, 2024, from natural causes at his residence in Yucca Valley, California.

The former child actor's daughter Aiden Juttner revealed the heartbreaking news to The Hollywood Reporter.

Christian Juttner gathered a variety of motion picture and television credits

Christian Juttner portrayed Teddy in the first season of 'The Bionic Woman' (1976–1977).

Other television appearances include 'Wonder Woman', 'The Rookies', 'Ironside', two 'ABC Afterschool Specials', and seven episodes of 'The Magical World of Disney.'

Christian portrayed gang member Dazzler in 'Return from Witch Mountain' as a teenager, co-starring with Christopher Lee and Bette Davis.

He portrayed Peter Plimpton in Robert Zemeckis' 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' and Paul Durant in Irwin Allen's 'The Swarm', which also starred Michael Caine, as per The Mirror.

Following the tragic news of Juttner's death, his 'Return from Witch Mountain' co-star Ike Eisenmann took to X (formerly Twitter) to pay tribute.

He wrote, "I have sadly learned that Christian Juttner, one of my co-stars in Return From Witch Mountain, has passed. He was an incredible actor, and one of the nicest people I have ever met. RIP 'Dazzler.'"



 

Christian was born on May 20, 1964, in Pomona, California. His father, John, was a businessman who ran a commercial glass company, an art gallery, and a beauty salon on the island of St Croix.

He first appeared on TV in a 1972 episode of ABC's 'Bewitched', thanks to his mother Marlene, who sparked his passion for acting.

Christian is survived by his sister Shelley, son Lucas, daughter Ryan, mother Marlene, Aidan, and ex-wife Ann, as per Daily Mail.



 

Fans remember Christian Juttner as he dies at 60

Besides co-star Ike Eisemann, several fans and followers flocked to social media to pay tribute to Christian Juttner.

One wrote, "He was in a number of good shows, including the Bionic Woman. I always liked seeing him act. A quiet innocence about him but could be a mischievous kid too. RIP."

Another said, "I knew I recognized his face, then realized he was hilarious in I Wanna Hold Your Hand. RIP," while an individual added, "Loved him on The Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman! RIP Teddy/Tommy."

"How very sad. 60 is no age to pass away. He really did dazzle in Return From Witch Mountain," another person expressed.

One more wrote, "Oh no. I know him in few Disney movies, even The Swarm the movie features the killer bees."
