Christina Aguilera doesn't 'give a f**k' to body criticism following Ozempic rumors

Christina Aguilera's dramatic 40-pound weight loss has sparked allegations that she used Ozempic. On July 18, the singer took to Instagram to showcase her toned physique and promote her health company, Playground.

Rumors that Ozempic is responsible for her weight loss have gained traction due to her new Instagram pictures, which highlight her toned physique.

Aguilera, 43, showcased her toned physique in two Instagram photos: one in an elegant, form-fitting red dress with shoulder straps, and another in a light blue pair of trousers paired with a tight white shirt.

In a recent Glamour interview, Aguilera refuted claims that she used Ozempic and dismissed questions about her sudden weight loss.

"I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f**k about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on," the 'Beautiful' singer said to Glamour for her August 2024 cover story, which went live on Thursday, August 15.

She added, "It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business."

Ever since Aguilera began her music career in the late 1990s, she has noticed that people have been criticizing her appearance. She told the magazine, "When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s."

Aguilera stated, "I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, she’s getting thicker.’ Then I had industry people saying, ‘They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.'”

Christina Aguilera wants her children to learn how to always feel their best

Christina Aguilera acknowledged that having kids helped her change her perspective on her appearance, as she did not want them to experience the negative feelings she had.

Aguilera is a mother to two children: Summer Rain, 9, with fiance Matt Rutler, and Max Liron, 16, with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman, per Independent.

"Your kids trigger things in you that you don’t want them to go through. And it’s almost like you’re reliving this whole thing again," she said.

She added, "I’ve seen so much so young. You just want the best for your kids. I love my son and my daughter so much, and you do want to shield and protect them from the world but they have to learn their own lessons."

Aguilera admitted to the magazine, through tears, that she sometimes feels the need to "shield and protect" her children "from the world," but she also understands that "they have to learn their own lessons."

The Grammy winner made her open remarks three months after fans on TikTok conjectured that she had used Ozempic, a diabetes medication that has become popular among celebrities trying to slim down, per Page Six.

One person remarked, "She's so tiny," while another noted, "best Ozempic result to date," following the performer's May appearance in Mexico. [sic]

However, the former 'Mouseketeer' has not publicly confirmed whether or not she used the weight loss drug.
