Christina Hall's ex-husband Ant Anstead joins 'The Flip Off' cast amid her divorce from Josh Hall

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christina Hall’s 'The Flip Off' is getting a new makeover as her ex-husband, Ant Anstead, has seemingly joined the cast of the HGTV show.

The 45-year-old UK native was spotted filming for the TV show in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, November 7, according to photos published by People. 

This comes to the fore as Christina is currently locked in a divorce battle with Josh Hall, 44, who was previously slated to be a part of the HGTV show.

Christina Hall previously joked about Ant Anstead replacing Josh Hall on 'The Flip Off'

Ant Anstead was seen arriving on the set, comprised of a white home with black garage doors, and chatting with the crew members on Thursday, as per Life & Style. He was also seen engaging in a friendly chat with Christina.

People previously confirmed that the ‘For the Love of Cars’ co-presenter will be joining the show with Christina, but he won’t be a partner to his ex. 

The latest reports come months after Christina first hinted at the possibility of Anstead appearing on the show.

In July, a fan commented on her Instagram, "How awesome would it be to have Ant replace Josh on The Flip Off? Ratings would go through the roof. If it happens, I need some credit. Lol."

The 41-year-old television personality played along the fun conversation, as she said, "LOL that would be a genius ‘ratings’ idea just saying."

However, she backtracked soon, as she told Backgrid, "It would be good for ratings, but I can’t work with any more exes. I already work with Tarek."

It looks like, Christina has worked on her qualms to get Anstead onboard for 'The Flip Off'.

The HGTV show was announced in May, just months before Christina and Josh filed for divorce in mid-July. They were married for nearly three years. 

The show will also star her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his current wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.

Christina Hall and Ant Anstead's relationship timeline

Christina Hall and Ant Anstead tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their son, Hudson, in September 2019. They, however, separated in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2021.

While the ex-couple had a contentious divorce battle owing to the custody of their child, they have resumed being on friendly terms in recent days, as per People.

During the interview with Backgrid in July, Christina revealed that their son was the major reason for them to be on friendlier terms.

Explaining her reason to re-follow Anstead on social media, Christina shared, "Ant and I share Hudson... and I feel like he deserves to have us get along."

Anstead is currently in a relationship with Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger. They're seemingly on the path to getting married.
