LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chuck Norris is grieving the loss of his beloved mother, Wilma Norris.

The actor, known for his role in 'Walker, Texas Ranger', shared the heartbreaking news on Wednesday, December 4, announcing that his mother had died at the age of 103.

In a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, Chuck Norris shared memories of his mother, Wilma, celebrating her deep faith, love, and the life lessons she imparted to him and his family.

Norris described his mother as a source of strength and joy in their family.

"Wednesday morning, my brother Aaron and I’s wonderful mother went home to be with Jesus," Norris wrote on Facebook, alongside a touching photo of himself with his mother.



 

"Our mom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God's grace. Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish," said Norris, who was brought up by Wilma in Oklahoma, Kansas, and California.

The actor recalled Wilma always prioritized the needs of others saying, "She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own."

"From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion," Chuck added.

Chuck Norris shares gratitude for Wilma Norris' 'countless lessons'

Chuck Norris expressed his gratitude for the lessons and love his mother Wilma Norris provided throughout his life.

"I am so thankful for the countless lessons she shared, the prayers she lifted for us, and the way she embodied the love of Christ every day," Norris wrote.

Concluding his post, he shared a poignant message, "We love you, Mom. Until we meet again."

Wilma Norris had recently celebrated her 103rd birthday, according to TMZ, a milestone that her son also marked on Facebook last year. 

"She’s so full of life that she might make it another 100 years!"Norris wrote at the time. He shared how grateful he was to God for her presence in his life, saying, "I wouldn’t be the man I am without her."



 

Fans extend their condolences to Chuck Norris

The announcement of Wilma Norris' death drew condolences from Chuck Norris’ family and fans.

His youngest of the five sons, Michael Norris, responded to the Facebook tribute, saying, "That was beautiful Dad. Love you."

Fans also offered support and prayers in the comments.

"So very sorry for your loss GM! She was an amazing woman and mother. May she rest in peace," one fan wrote.

Many others expressed their sympathies and prayers for the family, with one person writing, "Praying for you and your family! God's grace and peace be upon you all."
