Chuck Norris’ ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ co-star slams Emmys’ in Memoriam snub: ‘Tragic mistake’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chuck Norris’s ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’ co-star Judson Mills has taken offence at the fact that the Emmys’ In Memoriam segment did not include the late television icon.
Norris was 86 when he died on March 19, 2026. His family has kept the cause of his death private.
Judson Mills reacts to Chuck Norris’ Emmys snub
Norris and Mills worked together during the final three seasons of the hit television series ‘Walker, Texas Ranger’, which ran for nine seasons from 1993 to 2001.
The late martial artist was part of the series for all nine seasons.
Months after Norris’ death and shortly after the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, held on September 14, Mills told TMZ about the snub, saying, “Tragic mistake. And I have to assume it was just a terrible mistake. But my first thought was Gena and the family. And his fans.”

The 57-year-old, however, noted that “I'm confident Chuck would encourage forgiveness. He was an ‘it's not all about me’ kind of guy.”
“But for an icon of his stature who impacted not only Hollywood but the entire world, to see him not receive recognition at all and to see the family not receive that recognition was disappointing,” Mills stated, before adding, “It hurt my feelings for sure. He was a legend for God’s sake.”
Chuck Norris’ family honors his lasting legacy
Chuck Norris' death was announced by his family on March 20 via a statement.
It read, “To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength. To us, he was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”
“He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved. Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives,” it added.
Daveigh Chase among stars omitted from Emmys In Memoriam
However, ‘The Delta Force’ star was not the only major celebrity omitted from the Emmys’ In Memoriam segment.
Daveigh Chase, Peter Cullen, Nicholas Brendon, and voice actor Tom Kane were also not included in the In Memoriam segment.
One of Chase’s friends slammed the award ceremony, calling it “awful.” The former child actress was 35 at the time of her death in June 2026.
Those included in the segment were Rob Reiner, Dolly Parton, Hayden Panettiere, and Catherine O'Hara.
