LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Chuck Norris was honored by friends, family and fans at a memorial service in Las Vegas, where thousands gathered to pay tribute to the martial arts legend and actor.

Norris, who died at the age of 86 on March 19 in Hawaii, was remembered for his decades-long career in entertainment and martial arts. His family did not publicly reveal the cause of his death.

Recently, Judson Mills, Chuck Norris' co-star on 'Walker, Texas Ranger', spoke to TMZ and shared details about the memorial service. He revealed that the event took place on July 18 at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Mills claimed that around 5,000 people attended the service to pay their respects to Norris. The 57-year-old actor also revealed that he served as one of the speakers at the memorial and that several people who worked on 'Walker, Texas Ranger' were present.

Chuck Norris remembered as the heart of his family after his death

In March, Norris' death was announced through a lengthy statement shared on his official Instagram page.

The statement said that during his final moments, Norris was “surrounded by his family and was at peace.”

It also noted that while Norris was known around the world as “a martial artist, actor, and a symbol of strength,” he was, to his family, “a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, an incredible brother, and the heart of our family.”

Chuck Norris' family thanks fans for their support

The family expressed gratitude for the love and support Norris received from fans worldwide.

“While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived and for the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with him. The love and support he received from fans around the world meant so much to him, and our family is truly thankful for it,” the statement read.

The post concluded, “As we grieve this loss, we kindly ask for privacy for our family during this time. Thank you for loving him with us. With love, The Norris Family.”

Chuck Norris' family warns fans about fake AI-generated posts

In April, Norris' family issued another statement addressing false and misleading claims about his death circulating online.

In a now-disappeared Instagram Story, the family said those posts “are entirely untrue. This includes fabricated reports of past medical issues, as well as false narratives surrounding family relationships.”

“We kindly ask that you do not believe or share any information unless it comes directly from the Norris family or an official family representative,” the statement read. It added, “Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.”
