NAVASOTA, TEXAS: Action star Chuck Norris marked his 86th birthday with a message of gratitude and resilience, sharing a social media post that read, “I don’t age. I level up.”

The actor and martial artist celebrated the milestone with fans, reflecting on his health and continued passion for his work.

Days later, his family confirmed that Norris had died on March 19. The timing of the birthday post has drawn attention as one of his final public messages.

Birthday message highlights gratitude, continued activity

In a post shared on Instagram, Norris celebrated turning 86 with a reflective and upbeat message to his followers. “I don’t age. I level up,” he wrote, before adding, “I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young.”

The post accompanied a video showing Norris sparring with a physical trainer, underscoring his continued commitment to fitness even in his later years.

“I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love,” he wrote. “Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.” The message concluded with, “God Bless, Chuck Norris.”

Norris’ public persona was built over decades, beginning with his background as a US Air Force veteran and martial arts instructor.

His transition into Hollywood gained momentum after Bruce Lee cast him in the 1972 film The Way of the Dragon. He went on to star in a range of action films throughout the 1980s and later became widely known for his role in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger.

Family confirms death days after milestone celebration

Norris’ family confirmed his death in a statement shared on Instagram on March 20, a day after his passing.

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace,” the statement read.

The statement further reflected on his legacy, saying, “He lived his life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.

Through his work, discipline, and kindness, he inspired millions around the world and left a lasting impact on so many lives.”
