'You are a National treasure': Fans spit Chuck Norris Facts as action legend turns 84

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chuck Norris, who is celebrating his 84th birthday, has shared that he is “feeling good”, while admitting he still feels like being 48.

The martial arts legend, who completed another year on Tuesday, March 12, shared a post on the occasion of his birthday where he showed off his fit physique while celebrating his birthday with fans.

The action legend-turned-Hollywood star, Norris shared the video where he is seen throwing some serious punches at a heavy bag, before declaring joyously, “You know, I'm 84 today, but I feel like I'm 48.”

‘The Delta Force’ star went on to bless his 1.6 million followers on Instagram and added, “God bless you all,” per Daily Mail.

He captioned the video by writing, “Feeling good and staying active!”

“Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. God Bless,” Norris thanked his fans, who left a barrage of well-wishing comments on social media.

The post has since garnered over 385K likes and more than 11K comments.

Many of the 11K comments also referred to the long-standing jokes of 'Chuck Norris Facts'. Initially, the Chuck Norris Facts were created by Ian Spector.

The long-running joke can trace back its origin to Conan O'Brien's jokes about Norris on 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien'. The martial artist and the philanthropist wrote his own 'The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book' in October 2009. 

On his last birthday, Norris shared a heartfelt post by thanking his wife Gena O'Kelley whom he married in 1998.

He wrote, "What an amazing birthday gift from my wife, Gena. I think it’s safe to say that I’ll be putting quite the miles on this in no time, haha!"

Chuck Norris' Instagram is flooded with birthday wishes

Chuck Norris received plenty of birthday wishes on his Instagram, which often referred to the Chuck Norris facts.

YouTuber Peter Jordan said, "The legend! The myth! Happy birthay, Chuck!❤".

"Chuck Norris has no reflection, because there's only 1 Chuck Norris," gushed someone else.

Another fan reminisced, "I still remember in the early 1970's when Chuck was beginning his movie career and had to fight Bruce Lee. The rest is martial arts history."

Someone else quipped, "Chuck Norris wears boxing gloves to protect the bag, not his hands."

Norris received birthday wishes laced with humor from several industry insiders too.

As author Greg Laurie said, "Happy Birthday, Chuck! You are a National treasure and a true inspiration. God bless you!", free runner Dominic Di Tomasso quipped, "Legend has it… but Chuck Norris had it first."

Director Justin Taite added, "Chuck Norris doesnt get old, age is scared of creeping up to him."

Another fan joked, "Chuck Norris laughed quietly. Now we call it chuckling. 😂."
