Clint Eastwood married college student Maggie Johnson before becoming famous

The actor fell in love with Margaret 'Maggie' Johnson, a University of California student, before he received his big break.

The two went on a blind date in 1953, shortly after the 23-year-old Eastwood's military discharge and five years before he got his big break in the CBS series 'Rawhide'.

Despite their instant chemistry, the young actor saw other women during their courtship. He even fathered a kid named Laurie with an unidentified woman in Seattle.

Eastwood and Johnson got married six months after they first met and they remained married for over 20 years. However, the actor was involved in several spectacular adultery scandals during that time.

They had two children together: a daughter named Alison in 1972 and a son named Kyle in 1968. Johnson retained a divorce lawyer in 1978 but only in May 1984 did she file for divorce. The divorce was finalized in December 1984.

Sondra Locke and Clint Eastwood had 13-year-long affair which ended in lawsuit

During his 26-year marriage to Maggie Johnson, Clint Eastwood also had an affair with Sondra Locke, his costar in 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'.

They were romantically involved for 13 years, beginning in 1972 while Locke was married to her childhood friend, Gordon Anderson, and Eastwood was still with Johnson. Anderson and her marriage was never consummated and she legally remained married to Anderson till her death.

The actress even resided at one of Eastwood's several residences from 1975 to 1989 in order to facilitate their easy meetings without anyone knowing.

Speculation that a romantic relationship was developing between them began to surface in 1977 after they co-starred in another film, 'The Gauntlet', but both of them stated at the time that they were only friends.

However, their relationship ended in a contentious lawsuit as Locke accused Eastwood of "abuse" and claimed he deliberately attempted to prevent her from earning money following their split.

The actress claimed in her memoir 'The Good, the Bad, and the Very Ugly: A Hollywood Journey', that after their 1989 breakup, Eastwood abruptly changed the locks on the house she was staying in, leaving her possessions in boxes outside, leaving her with no notice.

The actress eventually filed a lawsuit against the actor, claiming that throughout their relationship, he had caused her "severe emotional and physical distress" as well as "mental and physical harm."

In court, she claimed that he was "frequently abusive," but Eastwood refuted her claims, claiming that she was merely "playing the victim" in order to obtain money.

Sondra Locke claimed in her memoir, 'The Good, the Bad, and the Very Ugly: A Hollywood Journey', that Clint Eastwood had multiple illicit relationships during their time together.

One was identified as flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves, and the two went on to have two kids together: a daughter named Kathryn in 1988 and a son named Scott in 1986.

According to reports, they called it quits on their romance in 1990 after an expose by 'The Star' made it public that they had discreetly welcomed their children.

Clint Eastwood dated actress Frances Fisher in the 90s and welcomed another daughter

Clint Eastwood initially met actress Frances Fisher in 1988, at a production party for the film 'Pink Cadillac'. The two began discreetly dating shortly after he broke up with Sondra Locke.

They made their official red carpet debut together in 1992. Fisher told People at the time, "It's serious. We have a lot of fun."

The couple went on to have a daughter together, Francesca, in 1993, but their romance ended two years later when footage caught the actor kissing TV reporter Dina Ruiz.

They officially separated after six years of togetherness. Fisher explained when the Los Angeles Times questioned them about their breakup: "With relationships, with people, you're attracted to somebody for a reason."

They were shown together at many events in the years that followed, giving the impression that their separation was amicable.

Clint Eastwood married his second wife Dina Ruiz in 1996

Eastwood married Dina Ruiz as his second wife in 1996 after they were photographed kissing. Although it appeared that he had moved past his womanizing forms, his marriage disintegrated when he began dating her friend's ex-wife.

Talking about how their relationship started, Eastwood told Carmel Magazine that he fell in love with Dina when she was given the task of interviewing him for the 1992 movie 'Unforgiven'.

It was revealed in 2012 that Dina had been turning to her friend Scott Fisher—who was going through his own divorce from a woman called Erica Tomlinson-Fisher—for comfort amid her marital issues.

Although Eastwood and Dina had formally split in late 2013, a few months later, when asked about their romance, she had nothing but kind things to say about her former partner.

Clint Eastwood began dating Christina Sandera in 2014 until she died in 2024

In 2014, Christina Sandera met Clint Eastwood while working as a restaurant hostess at the Mission Ranch, Eastwood's hotel in Carmel, California.

The two appeared to have confirmed their relationship when Eastwood accompanied Sandera, who was 33 years younger than him, on the red carpet of the 2015 Oscars.

Their courtship took off when they first met, despite the 33-year age difference. Not much is known about their relationship, though she did support Eastwood at several movie premieres and award ceremonies.
