According to the Daily Mail, Blur's frontman Albarn didn't hold back in criticizing the Coachella crowd, while many others on social media labeled the festival-goers as cringe-worthy for their lackluster response during the band's performance.
The iconic British pop group treated the California-based music festival to a 13-song setlist, jam-packed with '90s gems like 'Girls & Boys', Popscene, and 'Song 2'. They even brought out the Torres Martinez Cahuilla Bird Singers, adding a touch of desert vibe to the show.

Despite Blur's efforts to pump up the crowd, it seemed like the audience wasn't feeling the vibe, and Albarn couldn't hide his frustration as he tried to get them involved to no avail.
During their smash hit 'Girls & Boys', Albarn attempted to get everyone to sing along, but the response was nothing more than silence. Utterly disappointed, he dropped a bombshell, declaring they wouldn't be back, saying, "You’re never seeing us again, so you might as well f*****g sing it."
Soon after, clips of the expressionless response of the crowd during Blur's performance made their way onto platform X, with users poking fun at the crowd's lack of enthusiasm and making quips about Blur playing to a bunch of teenagers who didn't appreciate good music.

Blur were considered legends here in the States, Gorillaz themselves included (toss in Oasis too). It’s the Coachella crowd and the current generations who attend it."
