WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden's re-election campaign team taunted former president Donald Trump by sharing his latest fundraising appeal on social media.

The Republican presumptive nominee's campaign, in a recent email sent to supporters, used the subject line 'Absolutely Bone Crushing' in an apparent attempt to gain sympathy in light of his ongoing criminal trial that kept him away from active fundraising, according to HuffPost.

"Biden raises millions while I'll be stuck in court!" Trump whined to raise more money before the monthly fundraising deadline, which would end on Tuesday, April 30.

Biden's rapid response team wasted no time mocking the Republican opponent. Sharing the plea on Biden-Harris HQ's X account, the team wrote, "Couldn't have said it better ourselves."

The online mockery happened ahead of Trump's return to the Manhattan courthouse on April 30 to resume his ongoing hush money trial proceedings. He should be present at every court session during the trial due to the criminal nature of the case.

The historic trial stemmed from the former president falsifying his business record to pay $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election to silence her about their alleged sexual encounter.

Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 presidential election. Trump has a bad reputation for using his legal woes to collect more donations for his 2024 White House race. For instance, last week, he made an appeal via email for contributions, claiming he could be jailed soon.

"ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE IN 24 HOURS," the subject line read. "Friend, in 24 hours, the hearing on my GAG ORDER will begin. I COULD BE THROWN IN JAIL AT THAT VERY MOMENT!" Trump said in the email.

According to fundraising updates, till the end of March, the former president is lagging behind Biden. The incumbent raised more than $90 million last month, ending the first quarter of the election year with $192 million cash on hand. While his predecessor collected only above $65.6 million, closing the month with $93.1 million cash on hand.

However, Trump managed to get donations worth $50.5 million in a private fundraiser in Florida earlier this month.

Internet mocks Joe Biden

Biden team's mockery of Trump's fundraising appeal backfired on social media, with users suggesting it was a confession from the president.

One user wrote, "Confession noted. You’re all quite special people." Another remarked, "Glad to see you admit it!!! Imagine what this will look like in a few years? Hahaha."

"And still losing how is that even possible," a user quipped. One response read, "And Trump is still leading in the polls lol."

Another user said, "It’s because of you that happened! lol jokes on you. Kids learn early not to touch a hot stove but apparently in your house they light up the crack pipe with it to! Father of the century goes to…."

An individual added, "Literally making Trump more popular while simultaneously losing ur base." Meanwhile, one remark read, "Glad to see you admit it!!! Imagine what this will look like in a few years? Hahaha."

Another one described Biden campaign's taunting "Self Inflicted..."
