LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmie Allen is opening up about the controversies surrounding the birth of his twins last year.

The country star recently appeared for an interview with Kathie Lee Gifford where he cleared the air regarding the circumstances of his twins’ birth.

During the interview, Allen admitted that he was not “together” with his estranged wife when his longtime friend Danielle conceived their fraternal twins, daughter Aria and son Amari.

The 38-year-old singer and songwriter shared that when Danielle became pregnant with the twins, neither of them were with their respective partners, per Fox News.

He told Gifford in the interview, "I’ve known Danielle for years," before adding, "Way before I became 'Jimmie Allen'.”

“And at the time that she got pregnant with the twins, I wasn’t with Lexi, and [Danielle] wasn’t with her husband,” claimed the ‘Best Shot’ singer.

However, that did not lessen his wonder at the mysterious ways how life works.

"But it’s interesting just watching how life happens, whether you plan it or whether you’re ready for it or not,” continued Allen.

He explained, "Danielle was pregnant first, because me and Lexi weren’t together when Danielle got pregnant. Twins were born first," referring to the pair’s birth in June 2023.

Nevertheless, the ‘Down Home’ singer shared in the emotional interview that following the birth of the twins, vicious lies started to spread. It subsequently colored the public perception surrounding him.

He shared, "I decided to post my twins on my Instagram, and it went everywhere," before adding, "These articles come out, ‘Jimmie Allen Gets Married Superfan Pregnant.’ That couldn’t be farther from the truth.”

He went on to clarify that Danielle wasn’t a superfan, but rather his longtime friend.

Allen reiterated, "She’s not a superfan. She’s a friend. And she wasn’t with her husband and I wasn’t with my wife."

"I am healing and growing for me and my children,” added the star.
