Why did Jenny McCarthy leave 'The View'?

Serving as a co-host on season 17 from 2013 to 2014, McCarthy left 'The View' saying that she was informed that they couldn’t cover "pop culture anymore because [Walters] doesn't know who the people are" and she was directed to focus on politics instead.

"I have some stories from there, and given, all of them turn funny," McCarthy, 51, said on the podcast.

Jenny served as a co-host on 'The View' from 2013 to 2014. She explained that she was interviewing a guest on the show’s famous blue couch when she felt her period coming on.

“I just feel like this rush of a period, and when in your 40s, when you're perimenopausal, you bleed out. You hemorrhage, you know, your uterus falls out," she revealed to Kelly. "I'm sorry. But it does."

The actress from 'Scream 3' mentioned that she crossed her legs more tightly while wearing a dress to ensure no one would notice.

At last, someone approached her, allowing McCarthy to explain what was happening. She was advised to "get up and run," but she felt reluctant to follow that advice.

She recalled saying back at that time, “‘No, you don't understand perimenopausal periods. This is going to be a disaster. You have to push me out with the couch."

After a short time, she managed to navigate through the backstage crowd smoothly and handle the situation. However, she felt that the cast and crew were quite unsettled. “They were all horrified,” McCarthy remarked.

Kelly had a clever retort saying, “About a scary movie. You've been through the craziest s--t.”

"I was invited [to the Vatican] when I was in Italy, I was there for an eyeglass party or whatever, and they were like, 'Do you want to go meet the Pope? The Pope's not in town, but we can go in his apartment'. I was like, 'What?' So we went, we literally at midnight went in the back of the Vatican and I went in his apartment and his hallways," she shared.

But the adventures didn’t end there for Jenny and her friends as she said, "I tried on his hat. It was crazy," adding, "It's a whole story but my girlfriend came with me and when I got home in the hotel room, she goes, 'I know your mom loves the Pope so much, so I stole her…'"
