PHOENIX, ARIZONA: During his address on Thursday, June 6, former President Donald Trump criticized President Joe Biden's approach to the situation at the southern border and his broader immigration policies.

According to Mediaite, the embattled 2024 presumptive Republican nominee claimed that immigrants in the United States are speaking languages that are not commonly spoken or heard in the country.

Furthermore, he made a controversial assertion, suggesting that countries like Venezuela are purposely sending their criminal populations to the United States.

What did former President Donald Trump say at his Phoenix rally this week?

"Think how bad that is," the 77-year-old told the audience, before stating that that is exactly what he would do if he were the head of a Latin American country. “I have to say, I would be the first one that would’ve done it. And I wouldn’t be having 50% jail population. I’d be down to zero.”

The former POTUS continued by asserting that certain native languages of immigrants are ones that "nobody" speaks.

“They get cell phones, they get hospitalization, they get education even though they can’t speak a word of English,” Trump remarked, adding. “They’re taking the seats of people and the instructors talk in English and they have somebody speaking in some cases languages that we’d never even heard of.”

“You know, there are a lot of languages that we don’t have here. We have nobody that even speaks these languages,” he claimed onstage.

The ex-Commander-in-Chief rallied his ever-ardent supporters, by saying,  “Our country is going to hell and we’re gonna stop it on November 5th.”

In February, the MAGA strongman, Trump, single-handedly halted a bipartisan immigration bill devised by Sen James Lankford (R-OK).

It has been reported that the ex-president clearly expressed his intent to criticize President Joe Biden on immigration matters and aimed to keep border security as a focal point in future campaigns.

Echoing this sentiment, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) stated at the time, "We don't want to do anything to undermine [Trump]."
