LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Da’Vine Joy Randolph, 'The Holdover's star, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the first time, says she needs five tickets to the upcoming event.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph made a plea for more tickets to the Oscars 2024 ceremony on Monday’s episode of 'Watch What Happens Live' with Andy Cohen.'

The actress, who is up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The 'Holdovers', said she only has one extra ticket and needs five to take her family to the event.

“If anyone would like to contribute to giving me an additional ticket that you may not need,” Randolph told the camera with a laugh, People reports.

She has already said that she has some family members who would be “very upset” if they couldn’t attend the ceremony with her.



 

Da’Vine Joy Randolph says she has to figure out how to get Oscars tickets 

Da’Vine Joy Randolph first mentioned her ticket dilemma in an interview with Vanity Fair published earlier this month.

She said that getting more tickets was her “mission” and that she didn’t care where her family members sat as long as they could be there.

“They’re telling me I may only have one extra ticket, so that’s my mission,” the actress said.

“Can you imagine the people in your life that are, like, ‘I want to come!’ And you’re, like, ‘And you should come because you’ve helped me significantly in my life,’" she added.

“If I can get five — I don’t care if my people are back there [on the balcony], I don’t need five people in my row,” Randolph further said.

“Get Oscar tickets, or buy Oscar tickets, whatever we’ve got to do — I have some family members that would be very upset, so I’ve got to figure that out,” she continued.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph also shared some details about her experience as an Oscars nominee on WWHL.

She said that she has bonded with Emily Blunt who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for 'Oppenheimer.'

"She's really sweet, really kind, and has always been just checking in on me and looking out for me," Randolph said, adding "She's really, really kind."

'The Holdovers' has a total of five nominations, including Best Picture. The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be held Sunday, March 10.
