During an interview on 'Jesse Watters Primetime,' which airs on Wednesday, Erika revealed that her 3-year-old daughter asked if she could visit her late father in Heaven.
In a segment that aired on Sunday, November 2, Erika shared that her daughter continues to ask where her father is since his passing. She reassured her daughter that they will all be in Heaven one day and reunited with her father.
“Yes, my daughter continues to ask, but it’s really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things,” Erika said. “And I said, ‘If ever you want to talk to daddy, you just look up to the sky and start talking to him. He can hear you.’”
“And I told her, I said, ‘You know, daddy is in heaven.’ She goes, ‘You think I could go sometime?’ I said, ‘Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day.’”
Erika Kirk shares emotional memories of Charlie Kirk
Erika was seen crying in a different segment after watching a video of her late husband, which was the longest she had watched of him since his death. She first told her daughter that her father was on a business trip with Jesus to afford her “blueberry budget.”
Recently, Erika posted a video on Instagram showing her daughter spotting a photograph of her dad outside Turning Point USA’s headquarters and excitedly chanting his name.
During the ceremony for her husband’s Presidential Medal of Freedom award, Erika shared that her daughter wished her father a happy birthday and wanted him to have a “birthday surprise.”
Along with their daughter, Erika also has a son who turned one in May.
Erika Kirk vows to continue Charlie Kirk’s mission
Following Kirk’s tragic death, Turning Point USA unanimously appointed Erika Kirk as the CEO and Chair of the organization on September 18, fulfilling her late husband’s wishes.
In her first public address on September 12, she pledged to carry forward his vision and ensure that his movement continues to grow stronger.
“The evildoers responsible for my husband’s death have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God’s merciful love. They should all know this,” Erika said.
“If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country and this world.”
