SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA: Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' family was involved in a car accident on Sunday, October 27.

The accident took place outside Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, shortly before the Dallas Cowboys' game against the San Francisco 49ers, as reported by Fox News.

Jerry Jones' family suffered injuries

According to a tweet by Michael Silver of The Athletic, they were all in a second car within the Jones family caravan when it was "struck by a rising barricade outside of Levi's Stadium."

Silver also shared that “Charlotte and Jerry Jr. were both evaluated by team medical staff at the stadium and were then able to move on to the visiting owner's suite for the game.”

“The fear--according to members of the Jones family--is that Charlotte may have suffered a rib injury and that Jerry Jr has a head injury,” he added.

Stephen Jones enjoys working with his father

The accident occurred after Stephen Jones shared his future plans with the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, October 25.

The 60-year-old executive shared that he does not envision himself becoming the general manager of the franchise in the near future, according to Bleacher Report.

“I don't think about that. I want to enjoy every moment with my father. He's the owner and the president and the GM. I cherish every minute that I've gotten to work with my father,” he said.

Stephen continued, “A lot of people don't get that opportunity. I cherish the opportunity. I want to be where my feet are. There's that old saying that Dak likes to use, enjoy what you're doing at the moment."

“We'll cross that road one day. No one's getting out of here alive the last I checked. At some point that may be the case, but we'll worry about those things when they happen,” he stated.

“I just want to enjoy working with him and being a part of something special. I know right now we're frustrated with how our team is competing on the field, but overall we've had a hell of a run and think we got a lot left in us,” he added.
