WASHINGTON, DC: Former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Saturday, February 28, defended President Donald Trump's decision to carry out strikes against Iran and slammed critics for "c***ping on everything" the president did.

He argued that since Trump "just deposed and decapitated the entire upper-level infrastructure of the Iranian death-to-America regime", the "doomers" should "give the man a chance to cook a little bit" before condemning his moves.

Dan Bongino demands critics give Trump some time

The core of Bongino’s message was a plea for basic patience from the "doomers."

He pointed out that the operation was so recent that it was barely "3 am Eastern time" when the news broke.

"It hasn't even been 24 hours, and it happened at 3 AM. It's not 3 am Eastern time," Bongino noted during an appearance on Fox News.

He expressed frustration that the critics were already attacking the move, asking, "Maybe give the guy 5 minutes before you're already c***ping on everything he did. I mean, who else has been able to do this?!"

Dan Bongino cites incorrect predictions to support Trump

Bongino also reminded his followers that the same critics have a long history of being wrong about the president's foreign policy.

He listed several major events where critics predicted a global catastrophe that never actually happened.

"Where has he been proven wrong in the past? I thought World War III was going to break out after the Abraham Accords and after he moved the embassy and after he got Maduro?! What? None of that happened!" Bongino claimed.

He argued that because those dire warnings failed to come true, people should trust the current strategy.

The former Fox News host concluded by saying the president has earned the benefit of the doubt.

"Give the guy a chance. He knows what he’s doing. He’s surrounded himself with more than competent people. Give it a chance. It’s not even been 24 hours yet," Bongino said.

He stated that "if it doesn't work out over time, there'll be a bunch of papers and a bunch of talking heads" to rip it apart later, but for now, the administration should be allowed to finish what they started.
