LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA: Darrell Sheets’ death has come as a shock, deeply affecting many of his co-stars. Laura Dotson and Dan Dotson have now shared that, before his death at 67, the reality TV star had been living in fear because of alleged cyberbullying.

According to reports by Us Weekly, Laura said that the harassment had been going on for years. She explained, “His family told us that this has been happening for three years.” Her husband, Dan, also spoke about Sheets’ death and the troubling situation surrounding it. She even said that Sheets was "terrified for his life."

Both Laura and Dan had worked alongside Sheets for years before he stepped away from 'Storage Wars' back in 2023.

Laura and Dan Dotson recall fear that shadowed Darrell Sheets’ final days

While speaking to the publication on Friday, April 25, Laura Dotson, 57, reflected on how deeply the situation had affected him. She said, “(It happens to) even strong men that you think aren’t gonna get their feelings hurt."

"Cyberbullying is a real thing. This made him feel less than, and it really obviously bothered him. He was terrified for his life, for the people around him. He didn’t know why he was being targeted.”

She went on to explain that there were also other struggles in his life. “He had other things also,” Laura continued. “His health and certain things that might have contributed to (his death). Relationships, love interests and stuff that would go up and down, but (he) truly, truly was a wonderful, loving person who believed in God.”

"This made him feel less than, and it really obviously bothered him. He was terrified for his life, for the people around him. He didn’t know why he was being targeted," she added.

Laura and her husband, Dan Dotson, 63, also remembered how Sheets once reacted to a friend’s death. Dan noted that he had found it hard to understand.  Laura said, “He says, I can’t believe anybody that could do that,” and added, “They must have so much pain. So it was so hard for us to really believe that this happened.”
