Speaking to Parade, Coulier said, “I started to get pretty sick.”

“I was in bed for about 10 days just trying to figure out what was going on,” the 65-year-old actor added.

Doctors later identified ground-glass opacity (GGO) in his lungs, a condition that, combined with his cold symptoms, put him in critical danger.

"There's a thing called [ground-glass opacity (GGO)]. On a scan, in your lungs it looks like particles of glass," he noted, according to Fox News.

He revealed tha if he had not gone in when he did, "we might not have been able to turn this around."

Coulier was diagnosed after experiencing an upper respiratory infection caused by major swelling in his lymph nodes.

“Three days later, my doctors called and said, ‘We wish we had better news for you, but you have non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and it’s very aggressive,’” he recalled.

'The Full House' alum underwent six rounds of chemotherapy, with doctors reporting no visible cancer cells midway through treatment.

However, they continued with three additional rounds to ensure thorough eradication.

“After the fifth round, he said, ‘If I die, I die. If I can stay here, great. I want to,’” Melissa shared.

The chemotherapy took a severe toll on Coulier’s body, causing neuropathy, nausea, dizziness, and extreme fatigue. “Some days, I just didn’t want to do anything,” he admitted.

Coulier and Melissa remain optimistic, incorporating daily rituals to keep their spirits high.

“Every morning, if he’s feeling up for it, we put on a song and have a little dance party with the dogs,” Melissa said.

Coulier recently completed his final chemotherapy session but was so dazed he forgot to ring the hospital’s traditional victory bell.

“I walked out in a fog,” the actor said, adding, “But I’m grateful to be here.”
