David and Victoria Beckham 'blindsided' by Brooklyn's friendship with ex-pals Prince Harry, Meghan Markle

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly 'blindsided' by their son Brooklyn Beckham's new friendship with their 'ex-pals' Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, once close friends with the Beckhams, allegedly had a falling out with the couple years ago.

Now, they are said to be growing close with Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, which has reportedly caused tension.

According to sources, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz recently dined with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their Montecito mansion.

The meeting included a heartfelt conversation between Nicola and Meghan, during which they connected over shared experiences, including being labeled as “homewreckers” and accused of “tearing apart their husbands' families.”

The Beckhams were unaware of this gathering. Friends of the couple told The Sun, “David and Victoria were blindsided by the news — they didn’t see it coming."

"Of course it’s a bit weird for them as they used to socialise with Meghan and Harry, and now their boy is doing it," added the insider. 

The once-close bond between the Beckhams and the Sussexes began to break down after Harry allegedly suspected Victoria of leaking stories about Meghan to the media—an accusation Victoria has denied.

“David, who is very mild-mannered, was absolutely furious,” sources said, according to Daily Mail.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz did not attend David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month, which reportedly made their secret dinner with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle more painful for David and Victoria.

According to the Daily Mail, “David and Victoria had no idea about the meeting, leaving them blindsided that their errant offspring had joined the 'other side' in what appears to be just the latest jibe at his parents.”

The report continued, “In fact, not only did the Beckhams not know of the event, those in their circles struggled to believe that Brooklyn and Nicola would agree to meet up with Harry and Meghan, having snubbed five of David’s 50th birthday celebrations. It was, they say, a particularly cruel blow.”

The source further said, “Brooklyn knows how hurt David and Victoria were when Harry and Meghan accused them of briefing stories about them.”

They also noted that Brooklyn “was very much around and spending a lot of time with his parents when this all happened. It was over five years ago, but the upset and dislike is still very much there. Victoria was especially good to Meghan in the beginning, and it all got thrown back in her face.”

Although the reason for the dinner invitation remains unclear, a source told People, “Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David’s numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence.”

The insider added that it was “an intimate gathering,” with “several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives.”

Another source told Daily Mail, “Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.”

Nicola and Meghan also shared a "deep and meaningful" conversation during the meeting. 

Harry is also said to have extended “unwavering support” to the couple during their family struggles, drawing a connection between their situation and his rift with King Charles and Prince William.
