David Beckham shares photo with his ‘emotional’ mom Sandra West after being honored with knighthood

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: David Beckham took to Instagram on Monday, June 16, where he posted a photo of himself with his mother Sandra Georgina West after being honored with knighthood by King Charles last week.
The football star, who recently became a “Sir” along with ‘The Who’ frontman Roger Daltrey and Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman, revealed in a social media share that he had lunch with his mother at Tony's Pie and Mash in London, People reported.

Beckham wrote in the caption, “Lunch with Mum, haven't seen her since the news 🥹 mum cried when she arrived , cried during lunch and cried when I was leaving x special moment for us all ❤️ love you mum x.”
His mother even responded in the comment section, saying, “Love you more ❤️was emotional people saying congratulations Sir 😢 see tears again 😂 xx.”
Meanwhile, with Beckham getting the “Sir” title, his fashion designer wife Victoria has now become Lady Beckham.

After being honored, David Beckham expressed gratitude. In a statement, the father-of-four said, “To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true.”
He continued, “Off the pitch, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation.”
“I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I'm immensely proud and it's such an emotional moment for me to share with my family,” the Inter Miami co-owner added.
