LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: New details have emerged in the death of 'Beverly Hills, 90210' actor David Gail, pointing to a potential drug overdose.
This comes after one of the star's relatives spoke to E! News about another possible cause of death. Notably, the 58-year-old died on January 16, leaving his family, friends, and fans heartbroken.
What did the investigators say about David Gail's death?
Law enforcement recently shared with TMZ that Gail's death is being investigated as a "possible drug overdose." The authorities don't suspect any foul play in his death, as per Daily Mail.
However, they are waiting for the toxicology report to declare the official cause of death.
Family representative shares David Gail died of 'cardiac arrest'
Meanwhile, a representative of the Gail family confirmed to E! News on Monday, January 22, that the Florida native's death was caused by a cardiac arrest.
They shared with the outlet that the actor was found unresponsive by emergency personnel, who performed CPR and defibrillation, noting that the efforts were unsuccessful.
Subsequently, Gail had to be placed on life support for several days before his death was pronounced on January 16.
"The family has no reason to suspect the cause of his death was anything but heart failure," asserted the representative.
They added, "David will be remembered for his love of acting and his absolute passion and dedication to his friends and family. He possessed a unique quality that made everyone feel special in his presence."

Taking to Instagram on January 20, Gail's sister, Katie Colmenares, penned, "There’s barely been even a day in my life when you were not with me by my side always my wingman always my best friend ready to face anything and anyone w me."
She added, "The bears will never be the same but I will hold you so tight every day in my heart you gorgeous loving amazing fierce human being missing you every second of every day forever there will never be another."
In a separate statement, Gail's mother, Mary, stated, "We are extremely touched by the outpouring of love from David's dedicated fans and colleagues. We are grateful for all the support received during this very difficult time."
