Reports from TMZ suggest that Pamela died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
However, the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed by the Los Angeles medical examiner.
Following the devastating news, David, who was married to Pamela for 16 years and shares two daughters, Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32, with her, released a heartfelt statement through People.
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” he expressed.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time,” he added.

Pamela Bach's daughters remain silent but offer subtle tributes
Neither Taylor nor Hayley has publicly spoken about their mother’s death.
However, Hayley acknowledged the loss in a quiet but moving way by reposting a nostalgic photograph from a fan account on her Instagram Stories.
The picture, taken in 1996, showed her parents at the grand opening of the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Hayley added a simple white heart emoji over the image, seemingly as a tribute to her mother.
