LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' made waves in 2023, but disappointment ensued for fans when it was snubbed from the Oscars' 'best visual effects' finalists list recently.

Nolan, the creative force behind this biographical thriller starring Cillian Murphy as J Robert Oppenheimer, demonstrated his prowess as both writer and director.

The film explores Oppenheimer's role as the 'father of the atomic bomb' during World War II.

'Oppenheimer' fans disheartened by Oscars' snub

A user named @DiscussingFilm on X (formerly Twitter) recently posted the Oscars' finalists list for the 'best visual effects' category.

The absence of 'Oppenheimer' from the list triggered outrage among many fans, who took to the platform to express their reactions and shared memes for a humorous take on the situation.



 

@DiscussingFilms shared another post which read, "‘OPPENHEIMER’ will not be nominated for Best Visual Effects at the Oscars. Did not end up in the top 20 finalists."
