LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actor Francisco San Martin, best known for his role as Dario Hernandez on the long-running soap opera 'Days of Our Lives'.
San Martin’s body was discovered at his Los Angeles home on January 16, according to Hollywood LA News, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office confirmed that the actor took his life by hanging.

Born in Spain, Francisco San Martin moved to Montana as a child, where he first discovered his passion for acting through children’s theater.
This early love for performing led him to pursue a career in the arts, transitioning into modeling before dedicating himself fully to acting.
After years of training, San Martin landed his breakout role as Dario Hernandez on 'Days of Our Lives', appearing in multiple episodes from 2010 to 2011.

He later returned to daytime television in 2017, playing handsome groundskeeper Mateo on CBS’s 'The Bold and the Beautiful' for 16 episodes.
That same year, he charmed audiences as estate manager Fabian Regalo del Cielo on the popular show 'Jane the Virgin'.

Tributes have been pouring in from friends, colleagues, and fans alike.
'Days of Our Lives' co-star Camila Banus, who played San Martin’s on-screen sister Gabi, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, the US Sun reported.
“Pepe, what can I say but I love you and rest in peace, my friend,” Banus wrote. “Love you mucho mucho mucho. I wish I had told you more,” she added.
