WASHINGTON, DC: A massive digital controversy has erupted following a post by Democratic influencer Brian Krassenstein that many are interpreting as a direct incitement of violence against President Donald Trump

The controversy began on Wednesday, December 24, when a screenshot of a post from Krassenstein’s account began circulating rapidly across the internet.

The message, which was posted at 3:17 AM on December 24, 2025, by Krassenstein stated that “Trump is a dead man walking,” and that “America should put him to sleep, NOW. It is the humanitarian thing to do.”

The post quickly garnered over 100,000 views before becoming the center of a national debate.

Users on social media tag Elon Musk, citing violations of safety policy

Critics have been quick to condemn the influencer, arguing that his words are a hidden way of calling for an assassination.

The phrase "put to sleep" is traditionally associated with euthanasia, leading a vast number of users to interpret the statement as a literal demand for the termination of the president’s life.

In response, several users on the X tagged platform owner Elon Musk and various federal law enforcement agencies, contending that such language is a clear violation of safety policies regarding the promotion of violence against protected political figures.

While Krassenstein has long been a vocal digital adversary to the MAGA movement, this specific incident has alienated even moderate followers who believe his rhetoric has transcended political criticism and entered the territory of criminal incitement.
