RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA: On Thursday, January 18, during an event regarding the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Act in Raleigh, North Carolina, President Joe Biden made a statement that he later corrected, stating that he got "mixed up".

The President had initially asked for the whereabouts of Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC) and joked that she may have left after taking a photo with him backstage.

He then admitted that he was mistaken as she was actually in Washington DC at the time, according to the New York Post.

In another instance during his speech, President Biden mistakenly referred to the United States as a "major company" instead of a country.

What did Joe Biden say on his visit to North Carolina?

During his visit to Raleigh on Thursday, President Joe Biden emphasized the American Rescue Plan and the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill's impact on North Carolina.

Biden delivered a speech at Abbotts Creek Community Center on Durant Road, where he touted his economic record.

He also announced new initiatives and investments for expanding internet broadband access in the state.

During his speech, the 81-year-old Commander-in-Chief searched for the two-term congresswoman asking, “Where’s Deborah?”

“I just had my picture taken with her, that’s probably why she left,” he joked at first.

Shortly after, the president clarified, “Oh, she couldn’t be here actually. That’s not true, I got mixed up … She’s up in Washington right now.”

The mistake made surrounding Congresswoman Deborah Ross was reminiscent of a similar error by President Biden in 2022.

During an event, he inquired about the whereabouts of the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) despite having previously contacted her family and ordered flags to be lowered in her honor a month prior.

Biden's mental acuity has raised concerns among voters, as he prepares to face former President Donald Trump in the upcoming November general elections.

Per a New York Times poll published in November, 71% of swing-state voters feel that Biden is "too old to be an effective president," compared to 39% who expressed the same sentiment about Trump.

However, President Joe Biden did not allow the unfavorable statistics to dampen his spirits, and he was spotted later at a Cook Out burger restaurant in Raleigh, accompanied by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.

The President was seen in photographs at the restaurant's walk-up window holding a bag of food, savoring a shake with a spoon, and taking selfies with the locals.

According to WRAL, the President informed employees outside the restaurant that Governor Cooper had suggested that the restaurant had the best shakes in North Carolina.

Biden said, “The governor was bragging about your place. He said, ‘You have the best shakes in North Carolina.’”

The President's order at the restaurant included a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a "black and white" shake, which he described as "triple thick," made with ice cream and chocolate syrup.

The President paid for the tab of customers in line, including Governor Cooper's M&M shake, per the outlet.
