NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Demi Moore appeared at the Met Gala 2025 on Monday, May 5, in a Thom Browne gown, which was made to look like a necktie.
The 'The Substance' star's dress featured more than 1 million beads, according to Vogue, as the dress code for the Met Gala was "Tailored for You," a nod to the event's focus on menswear and suiting.

The bust of Demi Moore's dress was designed to recreate a knot, and the skirt was made to look like the neck, according to People.
Moreover, the tie's loop was placed right over the actress' head, which resembled somewhat like a hat. The 62-year-old paired her look with a pair of black-and-white pom-pom heels.

Moore's dress had over 1,400,000 beads — including 22,000 pieces of black rectangle sequins, 103,500 pieces of black cut beads, and 1,093,500 pieces of black bugle beads, as reported by Vogue.
Moreover, it took more than 7,600 hours to make the unique outfit for the exhibition.
Interestingly, during the Met Gala 2024, Moore shut down the red carpet in an elegant structural gown by Harris Reed, which was a nod to the theme of 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion', per People.

The veteran actress attended the Met Gala in 2019 in a plunging black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello column gown, accompanied by Harry Winston jewelry. Before that, she had not attended the gala since 2011, per the outlet.
The Met Gala is a fundraiser for The Costume Institute. It spotlights the museum's spring 2025 exhibition, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style'.

Notably, the dress code for 2025 is 'Tailored for You', which is a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting, according to People.
