LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent segment on 'The View,' the hosts responded with skepticism and amusement to former President Donald Trump's latest rant regarding the influx of foreign languages into the United States.

During his visit to the southern border, Trump expressed concerns about migrants and their linguistic diversity, suggesting a particular unease with non-English languages.

“The United States is being overrun by the Biden migrant crime. It's a new form of vicious violation of our country. These are the people that are coming into our country, and they're coming from jails, and they're coming from prisons, and they're coming from mental institutions, and they're coming from insane asylums, and they're terrorists," Trump complained

"We have languages coming into our country. We have nobody that even speaks those languages,” he added.

'The View' hosts deliver sharp critiques and political commentary

Unimpressed, the women of 'The View' responded with a mixture of scoffs and humor.

Joy Behar quipped, “They should build a wall to keep out the languages,” while Sunny Hostin labeled the rant as "bizarre."

Ana Navarro, injecting a dose of irony, pointed out, “Well, he didn’t have a problem with Slovenian. It’s just Spanish he has an issue with,” referencing Melania Trump's Slovenian heritage.

Joy Behar emphasized the Democrats' willingness to work on a bipartisan solution, but she also criticized Trump and Republicans for obstructing progress, attributing it to political motives rather than genuine concern for the country.

"Biden and all the Democrats need to keep reminding voters that it's Trump and the Republicans who are holding up a border deal. They are the ones who are doing it. The Democrats had a deal. They rejected it. Because Trump doesn't want it, while he's running, to give Biden a leg up and make the Democrats look good. So everybody should know that, alright?" Joy said.

"So, the other thing about it, is that Biden's kind of nice about it, like he makes an offer to work with Trump on the bill. Doesn't that legitimize Trump a little bit? No, I think it's... He's a racist, a xenophobe, homophobic, and ranting against migrants, "Joy added.

Sara Haines advocates for diplomacy over discord

Sara Haines chimed in, praising Biden's approach of extending an olive branch to Trump for collaboration on the bill. She suggested that putting down metaphorical weapons could be a more potent display of strength than wielding them.

“You see, the strongest person is not the one that puts the weapon up, it's the one that puts the weapon down," Sara Haines remarked.

Sunny Hostin challenges misconceptions on immigration and crime statistics

Sunny Hostin commended Biden's commitment to prioritizing the country over party politics, emphasizing the bipartisan nature of the squandered bill.

"Well, I actually think what was brilliant about it is he said, we work for the American people. And because of that, I will put the country before my party. I will even work with the likes of you."

Hostin continued by dispelling misconceptions about crime rates among undocumented immigrants, providing statistics to counter prevailing narratives.

"If you look at the stats relative to undocumented immigrants, US-born citizens are two times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, over four times more likely to be arrested for property crimes," she stated, emphasizing that Americans, not migrants, are statistically more prone to criminal activities.

The co-host also addressed the persistent focus on a supposed "fentanyl crisis" perpetuated by outlets like Fox News and former President Trump.

"You also, if you're watching Fox News or you're listening to Trump, fentanyl crisis, fentanyl crisis, fentanyl crisis. You know where the fentanyl is coming from? 90% of fentanyl is coming through the border, ports of entry from the United States, either citizens or people that are legally allowed to be here. But we're bringing it in. So stop with that," Hostin passionately urged.

Viewer reactions reflect diverse opinions on 'The View' commentary

As social media becomes a sounding board for diverse perspectives, comments from viewers reveal a range of opinions on the recent discussions on 'The View.'

One user wrote, "You ladies have lost touch with reality. Sunny saying more American violent crime than undocumented aliens!!! There should be ZERO crime by undocumented aliens as they shouldn’t be in our country. "

Another added, "Why don’t any of you talk about the actual bill? Why don’t any of you ask the question why on 20 Billion for actual border crisis and 60 Billion for Ukraine!!!! Why isn’t this bill for the border??? That’s what needs to be talked about! Quit blowing smoke up Biden’s a**!" [sic]

One user replied, "Biden Wants To Work With Trump, Trump Wants to Attack a Minority. You Tell Me, Who Should Be President."

Another user commented, "I am so tired of Sara blowin smoke up everyone’s but. Biden is brilliant Trump is a business man, he is used to working with people @sarahaines." [sic]
