WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump was called out online and his mental fitness was questioned after his “utterly unhinged” warning to Iran amid the war, which has been going on for more than a month now.

Some Democratic lawmakers even demanded the Republican leader’s removal from office.

Trump, on Sunday, April 5, once again demanded the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. He shared on his Truth Social page, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!”

“Open the F****** Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah,” he added, which led to a lot of outcry.

Democrats call Trump’s Iran threat ‘ravings of a dangerous and mentally unbalanced individual’

Senator Bernie Sanders commented on X, “One month after starting the war in Iran, this is the statement of the President of the United States on Easter Sunday. These are the ravings of a dangerous and mentally unbalanced individual. Congress has got to act NOW. End this war.”

Speaking on MS NOW’s ‘The Weekend’, Representative Becca Balint said, “It is something that is such an indication to me that my Republican colleagues have accepted for themselves that there’s no bottom. They will continue to support this man regardless of how unhinged and unfit he is for office.”

Senator Chris Murphy wrote online, “If I were in Trump’s Cabinet, I would spend Easter calling constitutional lawyers about the Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution. This is completely, utterly unhinged. He’s already killed thousands. He’s going to kill thousands more.”

“DJT is clearly unfit for office. His truth social post is incomprehensibly dangerous and unhinged. The GOP is complicit and must wake up from their stupor to save our nation,” Representative Maxine Dexter added.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer demanded a better candidate to lead the nation as he stated, “Happy Easter, America. As you head off to church and celebrate with friends and family, the President of the United States is ranting like an unhinged madman on social media.”

“He’s threatening possible war crimes and alienating allies. This is who he is, but this is not who we are. Our country deserves so much better,” Schumer asserted.

The war between the US and Iran has been going on since February 28. Although last week Trump had hinted toward ending the conflict soon, his fresh threat said otherwise.

Meanwhile, Tehran responded to Trump’s Sunday warning. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said, “Our armed forces have made it clear that in case Iran’s infrastructure is attacked, we would react in kind.”

“Our armed forces would target any similar infrastructure that is owned or in any way or manner related to the United States or contributes to their act of aggression against Iran,” Baghaei added.
