LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a recent appearance on Fox News, Trump lawyer Alina Habba stirred up controversy by subtly asserting that Donald Trump had won the 2020 election.

The conversation took place during a discussion with host Jesse Watters about the liberal response to the Supreme Court's 9-0 ruling, which prevented Trump from being omitted from state ballots based on the 14th Amendment clause prohibiting insurrectionists.

Jesse Watters and Alina Habba discuss liberal reaction to supreme court ruling

Jesse Watters expressed his surprise at the intense liberal reaction to the ruling, stating, "It's a crazy reaction to something everybody knew was gonna happen."

She remarked, "Do you remember in 2016 and 2020, you had these women ― they're memes now ― of them crying when Donald Trump won? Watching liberals just shed liberal tears."

Legal battle and financial obligations

Amidst the online uproar, Alina Habba has been dealing with a significant legal challenge. A court order mandates Trump to pay a substantial sum of $355 million, and the New York Attorney General, Letitia James, has threatened to seize high-value Trump real estate properties if compliance is not met.

Despite the looming financial penalty, Habba remains defiant, asserting that James's goal of tearing down the Trump Organization will not succeed.

Alina Habba's response to legal threats

In response to the legal threats and the possibility of asset seizures, Alina Habba issued a statement emphasizing her confidence that Trump's legal team will successfully appeal the verdict.

She expressed skepticism about the Attorney General's ability to achieve her goals, stating, "Her goal of tearing down the Trump Organization, her goal of tearing down the individuals that worked so hard...her goal is frankly not going to succeed."

Internet backlash

The remarks quickly gained attention online, with some internet users expressing strong criticism. One user bluntly stated, "Habababa is dumb as rocks!!!"

Another questioned the choice of interviewee, commenting, "Why is Jesse interviewing the Trump lawyer that keeps losing? I'd rather hear from his lawyers who won…"

One userwrote, "Deplorable. She fits the definition."

One replied, "Why do people listen to losers?."

One added, "Yeah remember when women were really scared he was gonna take away their rights??? And then he did???? That was … hilarious."
