LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Former President Donald Trump has once again sparked outrage with his latest comments on the campaign trail. During a rally in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 9, Trump suggested that one of his fervent supporters would contemplate suicide before voting for President Joe Biden, as per PEOPLE.

This alarming statement has sparked widespread outrage and condemnation online, with many accusing Trump of promoting dangerous rhetoric and encouraging a cultish mentality among his followers.

Donald Trump boasts about a supporter committing suicide before voting for Joe Biden

Speaking to a crowd braving temperatures over 100 degrees, Trump boasted about a supporter who had attended more than 200 of his rallies.

"Wouldn’t it be incredible—he’s gone to 250—if he voted for Biden? He’s going to vote for Biden? I don’t think so. It would be suicide before Biden, right?" Trump remarked in a clip from the event.

Noelle Cook, a researcher specializing in far-right extremism, was among many who condemned Trump's rhetoric.

"In Las Vegas, Trump points to a follower in the audience that he calls ‘front row Joe’ and then tells the crowd ‘that it would be suicide before Biden’ got Joe's vote. He gets more dangerous by the day," Cook penned on social platform X.

Trump also appeared to make light of the extreme conditions at the rally, where numerous attendees left early due to the scorching heat.

"I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care," he joked. He then preemptively accused the media of potentially twisting his words.

The rally saw Trump inciting the crowd to chant against Biden’s immigration policies, calling them "bulls**t." Additionally, Trump once again denied allegations that he disparaged fallen US WWI soldiers as "suckers" and "losers," despite reports confirmed by his former chief of staff.

Trump’s return to the campaign trail follows his recent conviction on 34 counts of falsified business records related to the infamous hush money trial. The charges stem from a scheme to cover up a payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.

Trump, now the first US president to be a convicted felon, faces up to four years in prison, with sentencing scheduled for July 11.

Donald Trump's incendiary comments about his supporter committing suicide spark fury online

The internet swiftly and harshly responded to Trump's incendiary comments about his supporter commiting suicide.

One X user sarcastically remarked, "Perfectly normal, perfectly healthy, definitely not a cult." Another user wrote, "Come for the heatstroke, stay for the suicide pact." A third noted, "The madman transitioned to the 'Will you die for me?' part of his insanity."

One user commented, "Malignant narcissist telling us he’s a suicide cult leader. Back to the if he’s abandoned (by losing), the world ceases to exist and so should all of you. How Trump is perceived is more important to him than regard for any human life."

Another added, "And at long last, he literally becomes Orange Jim Jones. What a sick, depraved maniac."

Jim Jones was the infamous leader of a cult known as the Peoples Temple. Operating from 1955 to 1978, Jones rose to notoriety through the tragic events that unfolded in his isolated Jonestown settlement in Guyana on November 18, 1978. Under the guise of what Jones called "revolutionary suicide," he and his inner circle meticulously orchestrated a mass murder-suicide that claimed numerous lives.

"Trump is channeling his inner Jim Jones. JFC. Who is falling for this imbecile," wrote another user. The sentiment was echoed by many others, with comments like, "Donald ‘Jim Jones’ Trump. This maniac must be stopped" and "He’s gone full Jim Jones now."
