Jason Kelce loses his Super Bowl ring in pool of chili
According to People Magazine, Jason's Super Bowl ring has gone missing in action after the ex-NFL star decided to spice things up by tossing it into a pool of chili during a live fan event he co-hosted with his brother, Travis.
The duo treated fans to a packed house at the University of Cincinnati on April 11 for their 'New Heights' podcast.
As per People Magazine, the highlight of the evening was the Lombaby Games, a quirky tournament inspired by the brothers, featuring bizarre challenges and, a pool of chili.
On a recent podcast episode, Jason explained that the chili pool game involved participants rummaging through the mess to uncover replicas of his 2018 Super Bowl ring.
Describing the setup, Jason quipped, "Mixed into that chili there were socks with some make-believe rings and then there was actually, only one real ring in there which was my Super Bowl ring but there was another kind of like replica Super Bowl ring so there were two Super Bowl esque rings that they had to try and find one in each pool."
Addressing the mishap, Jason admitted, "As you guys know the this game existed because I continually lose my Super Bowl ring um and I don't even know if Travis still knows this, uh but I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event um they could not find it."
Following unsuccessful attempts to fish out the ring the next day, Jason lamented, "We have still yet to find it. All of this stuff has been thrown away, so I think we can safely assume that my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill, someplace in the Cincinnati Tri-State area."
Speculating on the ring's fate, Jason mused that the ring might've "got kicked out of the way, and it made its way out of the pool and was thrown away in some shape or form."
He added, "But, yes, the Super Bowl ring is officially gone. We've already put the insurance claim in, which I think the insurance company might have some things to say about whether they're gonna do that."
To which Travis quipped, "100%, they're gonna have, especially if you're gonna tell the entire world how you lost it."
