Internet divided as Mark Consuelos admits to wife Kelly Ripa that he 'kissed' another woman in Italy

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mark Consuelos is the one who kisses and tells. 

During Tuesday, April 30 episode of the hit talk show ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’, Consuelos admitted to his wife Kelly Ripa that he “passionately” kissed a woman while watching a soccer match of his favorite soccer club.

Consuelos, who co-hosts the talk show with his wife Ripa, shared about the incident during Tuesday’s episode. 

He shared that while he was watching the victory match of fourth-tier Italian soccer team Campobasso 1919, he planted a kiss on a woman.

Consuelos shared, “In the adulation, in the celebration, on the field, when we found out that the other team tied and we are champions … we ran over to our fans,” per Page Six.

However, before Ripa could fire her guns, the 53-year-old ‘Riverdale’ star explained, “I’m running … and I see this lady, let’s call her my aunt — maybe someone else’s aunt — and we look at each other and we’re so excited and there’s this [plexi]glass and we come to the glass, and you know what? I kissed her.”

However, Ripa did not believe the tale's authenticity as she quizzed, “Do we have footage of this?” She reiterated, “We don’t have footage of it?”

However, Consuelos informed his wife, who is also his co-owner at the fourth-tier Italian soccer club Campobasso 1919, that the kiss definitely happened.

He went on to elaborate on the kiss, mentioning that he even closed his eyes during the moment. Consuelos described, “I laid one on her. It was a smooch, but it was passionate.”

Mixed reactions among fans to Consuelos' revelation

Fans of Ripa and Consuelos found themselves divided by the joke. While some criticized the couple, others who got the humor shared a laugh with the pair, who have been married for almost three decades.

One of the social media users said, "There goes the cancellation of Kelly and Mark." [sic]

Someone else chimed in, "That's why 'Divorce, Cheating, Break up.' Are middle name of Western Celebrity couple of life. Either. 🙏🏻."

"Uh-oh, looks like Mark's in the doghouse! Kelly's probably got the couch ready for him tonight," quipped a fan at the confession.

Someone else, however, corrected the fans saying that the kiss happened through a plexiglass, thus doesn't account for a real kiss.

They wrote, "Get it right... and show the video. He said he kissed an fan through a plexiglass during a Soccer celebration." [sic]

Another fan chimed in, "Sounds like a plot twist in a soap opera, lol."
