DOJ publishes new Epstein records, including disputed references to Donald Trump

DOJ stated that certain Epstein files held 'sensational' but 'false' allegations against Trump, but they still released them to comply with the law

WASHINGTON, DC: The Department of Justice has released a new batch of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. The batch contained nearly 30,000 more pages and included content related to President Donald Trump on Tuesday, December 23.

The latest batch of documents was the third one to drop, after the DOJ released the first batch on Friday, which was the deadline set for the Justice Department as per the 'Epstein Files Transparency Act' as signed by Trump.

Records show Trump was listed as a passenger on eight flights

One of the documents released by the DOJ reportedly showed an email mentioning Donald Trump dated January 8, 2020, with the subject: 'Epstein Flight Records'.

Although it is unclear who the email exchange was between, the sender stated that they wanted the receiver to know that the flight records they received reflected that Donald Trump “traveled on Epstein’s private jet many more times than previously has been reported.”

It also stated that the president was listed as a passenger on at least “eight flights” between 1993 to 1996, four of which also flew Ghislaine Maxwell. Additionally, Donald Trump was listed as a traveler with Marla Maples and her children, Tiffany and Eric.

“On one flight in 1993, he and Epstein are the only two listed passengers,” it said.

Also, another flight record allegedly saw Trump and Epstein on a flight with a 20-year-old possible survivor whose name was redacted from the files. It was also alleged that Trump was on a flight with two “possible witnesses” in a Maxwell case.

DOJ says claims about Trump in Epstein files are ‘false’

While releasing the third batch of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, the DOJ took to X to defend Donald Trump.

The post read that some of the documents contained “untrue and sensationalist” claims against Donald Trump that were submitted to the FBI before the 2020 Presidential election.

It further defended the president, noting that the claims were “unfounded and false” and not credible. The post also stated that if the claims had any credibility, they would have been used against the president already.

The Justice Department added that it was its “commitment to the law” and transparency that, despite such false claims, they were releasing the documents to meet the legal requirements to protect Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors.
