LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Erika Kirk, the widow of the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has endorsed Spencer Pratt in the Los Angeles mayoral race, calling his campaign platform “authentically American.”

Her remarks focus on the non-traditional nature of the run, which has drawn support from coalesced Republican and Independent voters.

Erika Kirk applauds Spencer Pratt's political platform

Taking to X on Thursday, May 21, Erika Kirk praised Pratt’s willingness to step outside the boundaries of conventional politics.

Kirk emphasized that regardless of how the election unfolds, the nature of his campaign represents something deeply rooted in the American spirit.

“Regardless of the outcome of the race, what he’s doing is authentically American,” Kirk shared on X.

“See a problem, become a part of the solution. His campaign ads are unconventional, but that’s the point; it’s refreshing.”

Spencer Pratt uses viral videos to challenge career politicians

The endorsement directly highlights the distinct, digital-first approach Pratt has utilized throughout his insurgent run.

Rather than relying on traditional political strategies, the candidate has drawn significant attention by creating and circulating viral media content, including AI-generated videos mocking Mayor Karen Bass and California Democrats, as well as addressing personal attacks from critics regarding his residency in Los Angeles.

“Instead of speaking like a career politician, he’s speaking as an American who sees and deeply understands how fragile the simple things in life are when leadership fails. This is what this country is all about,” Kirk stated.

Erika Kirk frames candidacy as a response to local failures

While concluding her statement, Kirk framed Pratt's candidacy as a necessary response to Los Angeles' administrative failures.

“Citizens willing to step into the political arena, unafraid, and challenge a failing system, much like the one that has destroyed Los Angeles. I hope moments like this inspire more Americans to throw their names into the mix, run for office, get involved, and stand up for what makes this country exceptional,” Kirk concluded.

The endorsement follows recent commentary from President Donald Trump, who acknowledged the campaign's momentum during a press gaggle, signaling his interest in seeing the non-traditional candidate perform well, stating, “I’d like to see him do well — he’s a character.”

He added, “I don’t know, I don’t know him. I assume he probably supports me. Does he support me?… I heard he does. I heard he’s a big MAGA person. He’s doing well.”

Recent poll indicators suggest Pratt remains strongly positioned to secure a spot in the upcoming runoff election against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass ahead of the June 2 primary.
