LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Country music fans got a Christmas present from Dolly Parton herself as she shared an old clip of her and the late Kenny Rogers from their 1984 Christmas special.

The two collaborated together for ‘Islands in the Stream’ song in 1983, which went on to become one of the iconic songs of the duo, as reported by whiskeyriif.com.

The success led to the creation of 1984’s ‘Once Upon a Christmas’ album by the two country legends.

But that was not all as the 78-year-old actress and Rogers, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013, also worked together to make an accompanying Christmas special, titled ‘Kenny & Dolly: A Christmas to Remember’.

The timeless classic came on TV on December 2, 1984, just days before the festival.

Now, four decades later, Parton has shared a snippet from the special, which shows the two icons having a flirty exchange.

The Instagram video shows the ‘Here You Come Again’ hitmaker telling Rogers, “If anybody in this world was ever born to play Santa, it was you, Kenny. You don’t even need a fake beard.”

To which, the ‘If I Ever Fall in Love Again’ singer replied, “I thought you were gonna say Patty.”

“Oh, judge not lest you be judged, I always say that,” Parton said.

Rogers, who died in 2020 at the age of 81, then remarked, “You always say that?”

“Well, when I’m trying to get myself out of trouble,” the philanthropist funnily added.
