WASHINGTON, DC: Former CNN anchor Don Lemon whipped up a controversy by reacting to a video of former first lady Melania Trump reacting to the assassination attempt of her husband, former president Donald Trump, reported the Post Millenial on Wednesday, September 11.

While speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, the GOP nominee was fired upon by 20-year-old Thomas Crooks from a nearby rooftop. A bullet managed to graze Trump's right ear before Secret Service agents could cover him, and neutralize the attacker. While Trump faced no major injury, a rally-goer lost his life as a result of the incident, trying to protect his family.

The reaction video, which was originally uploaded on TikTok and later shared on Don Lemon's YouTube page, showed the liberal commentator making dismissive faces as Melania Trump opened up about how traumatic the attempt on her husband's life had been for her.

He rolled his eyes at the camera when she described the rally shooting as a "horrible and distressing experience." As she went on to call out law enforcement for failing to prevent the incident, Lemon was seen waving his hands around and shaking his head in disapproval.

Since being slammed over social media, Lemon has reportedly taken down the video from TikTok.

“I can’t help but wonder, why didn’t law enforcement officials arrest the shooter before the speech? There is definitely more to this story, and we need to uncover the truth," she adds.
