WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump urged the US Supreme Court to intervene before the Manhattan court announces his sentence for the hush money conviction, reported Mediaite.

The GOP presumptive nominee, on May 30, was hit with a guilty verdict on all 34 counts by a 12-panel New York jury for falsifying business records throughout 2017 to conceal the hush money payment to adult film actress Stromy Daniels during the final days of his 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump, denying any wrongdoing, accused Judge Juan Merchan, who oversaw the historic criminal trial, of being "conflicted," suggesting the case was politically motivated by Democrats.

Trump urges Supreme Court to step in

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, June 2, the real estate mogul pleaded with the US Supreme Court, consisting of three conservative judges he appointed, while blasting Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Judge Merchan.

"The 'Sentencing' for not having done anything wrong will be, conveniently for the Fascists, 4 days before the Republican National Convention," Trump whined about the sentencing date set on July 11, just four days prior to his formal GOP nomination.

He continued, "A Radical Left Soros backed DA, who ran on a platform of 'I will get Trump,' reporting to an 'Acting' Local Judge, appointed by the Democrats, who is HIGHLY CONFLICTED, will make a decision which will determine the future of our Nation?"

"The United States Supreme Court MUST DECIDE!" Trump, the first former president to be convicted in a criminal case, demanded.

After the conviction, Trump had labeled himself a "political prisoner" on his fundraising platform on WinRed. Besides, the MAGA spearhead often claimed he did not know what was the crime against him.

The 45th president, a convicted felon, pledged to appeal the sentence scheduled for next month at the state level in the Empire State.

Internet slams Trump for urging the SCOTUS to intervene in the hush money verdict

Netizens lashed out at the former president for urging the conservative US Supreme Court to decide on the hush money conviction before the state court announces the sentence next month.

One user wrote, "He definitely thinks he is King. How preposterous to demand intervention by SC!"

"He truly thinks he’s better than the rest of us 320 million plus Americans. He thinks laws should only apply to the poor and those that kiss his ring. This lower than worm shouldn’t be walking around a free man," remarked another.

A third user added, "Yea because that’s not one bit hypocritical. So they complain it’s a judge appointed by Dems. Yet, it’s totally okay that he wants the self stacked Supreme Court to decide what happens. Yea okay… seems fair lol. Everything is okay as long as they are Trump people. Got it!"

A fourth response read, "Trump is desperate and playing the role of victim very well We can only hope that the Court will ignore this request."

Another person said, "This man is losing it. Why isn’t the @GOP selecting a candidate who isn’t suffering a breakdown? Maybe also a candidate who isn’t a felon."

"Trump has veered away from his recent championing of "states' rights" (which he adopted to avoid responsibility for the voiding of Roe v Wade he engineered); now he wants the U.S. Supreme Court to displace the New York State criminal justice system," someone else chimed in.

An individual wrote, "Hey @realDonaldTrump you are not above the law. You did the crime, now you gotta do the time."
