Trump safe after second assassination attempt but Internet blasts Secret Service for not doing a good job
WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: The FBI announced opening investigation into an apparent second assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump on Sunday, September 15.
The GOP nominee was at his Florida golf club at the time of the incident and has not been harmed in any way, shared his campaign. An insider source shared with CNN that Trump was moving between holes five and six when shots were reportedly fired by the Secret Service.
This incident marks the second apparent attempt on Trump's life after the Pennsylvania rally shooting back in July.
Secret Service agent spots suspect near golf club
West Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw told journalists that his office was informed of shots fired by the Secret Service at 1.30 pm ET. It was done as a preemptive measure after a man armed with a rifle was spotted in the bushes along the perimeter of the Trump International Golf Club.
A Secret Service agent, part of a team that stays a hole or two ahead of Trump, engaged with the suspect after he spotted a rifle barrel with a scope sticking out of the fence of the golf course. The latter was able to flee the scene but was observed by a witness.
"We are able to catch a witness that came to us and said, ‘Hey, I saw the guy running out of the bushes, he jumped into a black Nissan and I took a picture of the vehicle and the tag,’ which was great,” shared Bradshaw.

Internet slams Secret Service over the incident
Netizens called out the Secret Service for not doing a good job of providing security to former president Donald Trump after he faced an apparent second assassination attempt roughly two months after the first.
MAGA supporters alleged that there was a "mole" within federal agents, as the following tweets demonstrate.
"The FBI investigating has me worried. There is absolutely no reason why anybody should have ever gotten that close to Trump. There's a mole in the Secret Service," wrote one social media user.

"The shooter didn't sit there in the bushes and wait for Trump to get to the 5th tee box by chance. There's a mole somewhere who leaked information," one person wrote.

"The fact he was able to get so close to Trump is disappointing. Secret Service needs to do a better job of locking down an area when Trump is there," observed a sixth.

Secret Service needs to do a better job of locking down an area when Trump is there.
We’re too close to winning to allow this. 🙄
"SS needs to do a better job ensuring Trump's safety. Sounds like the shooter was camped out there for quite a while," expressed yet another.
