TURNBERRY, SCOTLAND: President Donald Trump firmly denied accusations on Monday, July 28, that he once sent Jeffrey Epstein a birthday letter featuring a nude drawing, calling the allegations “ridiculous” and reiterating that he has never made such sketches.

During a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Trump Turnberry golf resort, the president was questioned about a recent Wall Street Journal report claiming that a letter addressed to Epstein contained a personal note and a crude illustration of a nude woman, allegedly sent by him.

“I don’t do drawings. I’m not a drawing person. I don’t do drawings,” Donald Trump said. “Sometimes people would say, ‘Would you draw a building?’ and I’ll draw four lines and a little roof, you know, for a charity. But I’m not a drawing person. I don’t do drawings of women — that I can tell you. They say there’s a drawing of a woman, and I don’t do drawings of women.”

The claim comes amid renewed public scrutiny over Trump’s long-assumed personal and social connection to Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in federal custody in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Trump, appearing unshaken by the question, dismissed the report as a political ploy.

“Epstein was always a very controversial guy. I was at a very high position — pretty much all my life, in all fairness. I’ve been doing this for a long time: the top show on television, number one bestsellers. I had everything, right? I was a very successful business guy. He was very controversial. Who would do a controversial drawing?” he added.

The president swiftly pivoted to deflect attention from the alleged letter, asserting that many other influential individuals also had past correspondences or interactions with Epstein.

“They say there were many letters done by many people — and many big people, big successful people,” Trump said.

The internet was quick to react, with a mix of scorn, mockery, and renewed suspicion.

An X (formerly Twitter user said, “Trump’s denial of the WSJ’s Epstein letter sounds like a dodge—his signature’s on it, and dismissing it as 'not my style' doesn’t erase years of cozy photos with Epstein.”

Another wrote, “Should have no problem with the public seeing the files then,” calling for transparency.

“That I believe. He’s the least artistic person in the history of the world,” a person quipped.

“So you wrote the letter, but didn’t do the drawing?” another user asked rhetorically. “Everything. It’s his go-to response to everything, since he can’t remember the previous lie,” one user remarked.

Others revisited Trump’s long-documented association with Epstein, with one writing, “The idiot is trying to insinuate that he didn't hang out with Epstein because he was too successful a person but he has been quoted as saying he ‘knew him well for 15 years’ and that Epstein was a ‘great guy,’”
