WASHINGTON, DC: A newly released video shows former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton storming out during her deposition for the House Oversight Committee's probe into convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The House Oversight Committee made the deposition videos of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary public on Monday, March 2. Both Bill and Hillary answered alternating one-hour rounds of questions during their respective depositions.

Hillary Clinton clashes over deposition photo leak

The outburst occurred after a photo of her in the deposition room was leaked online, prompting Hillary to angrily confront Republican lawmakers. "I'm done with this. If you guys are doing that, I am done," she said, emphasizing her frustration over what she called "typical behavior."

The deposition footage reveals Hillary's reaction after right-wing influencer Benny Johnson posted a photo from inside the room, claiming Rep Lauren Boebert took it. Someone off camera then said the deposition would go off the record, and Boebert can be heard admitting she took the photo before the deposition began.

She, visibly exasperated, thumped her fist on the table, stating, "Oh for heaven's sake. It doesn't matter. We all are abiding by the same rules." Boebert said she would remove the photo, to which Hillary responded aggressively.

She left the table after repeating, "I'm done," as her lawyer requested a break as the video briefly cuts to black before the deposition resumed. The footage comes from nearly five hours of testimony regarding the government's handling of Epstein's case.

Hillary remained behind closed doors with both Republicans and Democrats from 11 am, emerging around 5:30 pm that day. During the session, she told lawmakers she had no recollection of meeting Epstein and only knew his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, as an acquaintance.

Hillary Clinton’s stance on oversight and transparency

Once the deposition resumed, Hillary’s lawyer criticized the committee for "violating its own rules" with the photo leak, calling the behavior "unacceptable, unprofessional, and unfair," while noting the Clintons had requested a public hearing initially.

Committee Chairman James Comer, responded, "I've advised my members that no photos or videos during the deposition can be released. I understand the posted photo was taken before the deposition started. That will not happen again. And we will look forward to continue with the deposition."

He also expressed disappointment that Hillary’s opening statement had been leaked. Her lawyer clarified that the concern was not the leak itself but that the secretary should not be treated differently from other witnesses.

At another point, a Democratic lawmaker asked Hillary about the photo leak. She admitted "I will confess that I had some concerns about whether the majority on the committee would treat me fairly and would, you know, fairly convey what I say and what I did and how I looked and how I responded."

She also acknowledged the leak violated the rules but emphasized her main concern was that the committee focus on witnesses with critical information regarding "intelligence, money, and crimes" and ensure public accountability when possible.

When asked if President Donald Trump should be deposed in the probe, Hillary responded, "Absolutely."
