WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump Jr has dismissed speculations about his father Donald Trump considering Nikki Haley for his vice presidential pick.

On Wednesday, June 26, the son of former President Trump took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to a post that suggested some Republican donors wanted Haley to be Vice President if Trump is reelected.

In his post on X, Trump Jr wrote, “Nikki Haley, who served as the puppet of Democrat billionaires and warmongerers, would be a wonderful choice [if] my dad wants to get impeached within about 7 seconds of being sworn in,”

"She's they're last hope!" he added.

President Joe Biden's campaign quickly seized on Donald Trump Jr's comments.

James Singer, a Biden campaign spokesperson responded to the post on X as he wrote, "Trump struggled with Haley voters even months after he dropped out. His team continues to attack her and her supporters."

Ammar Moussa, another Biden campaign spokesperson also wrote, "Trump world attacking Nikki Haley. Building a winning coalition!"

Donald Trump earlier said Nikki Haley is not under his VP pick consideration

In May, Donald Trump dismissed the idea of selecting Nikki Haley as his running mate.

He clarified that she was not under consideration, despite her continued influence among Republican voters, according to The Hill.

In his Truth Social post in May, Trump wrote, “Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the V.P. slot, but I wish her well!”



 

Who will be Donald Trump's potential Vice President?

Donald Trump recently shared that he has already made his decision on his running and will be announcing his pick at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, scheduled for mid-July, 2024.

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum (R), Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio), and Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla) are the leading candidates.

A few other Republicans have also been vetted for the potential vice presidential slot.

Internet rips Donald Trump Jr dismissing Nikki Haley's VP prospects

Reacting to Donald Trump Jr shutting down speculations of Nikki Haley being considered as Donald Trump's running mate, one user on X wrote, "Didn't your dad just try to bribe certain corporate billionaires and offer huge tax breaks to millionaires?"



 

"What this clown jr has to say, should be of no interest to America," a netizen commented.

Another user questioned, "And yet @NikkiHaley supports this family to get back into power?"



 



 

"Your dad will lose Nikki Haley’s voters," a user tweeted and another user wrote, "You know your dad chose his VP long long ago."
