WASHINGTON, DC: The governor of North Dakota, Doug Burgum (R), who is on the shortlist for vice president on Donald Trump's 2024 presidential ticket, raised the possibility that Joe Biden tampered with the 2020 election, as per Raw Story.

Notably, Burgam stated that when Joe Biden and Donald Trump square off in Atlanta on June 27, voters in swing states want Biden to respond to a few important concerns.

Doug Burgum says Joe Biden would have committed election interference

During an appearance on Fox News while speaking with host and former Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, Burgum said, "Those voters want to hear CNN ask President Biden about the border, the open border, they want to ask him about inflation — that's hurting their lives every day."

He added, "And most importantly, they want to hear CNN ask him about why he lied to the American people in the debate four years ago."

Notably, Burgam indicated that Biden was reacting to what he perceived as a tale that was escalating concerning his son, Hunter Biden, about a personal laptop that included disparaging pictures of him and information about his dubious business activities.

During the October 2020 debate, Biden relied on a letter signed by many former defense and intelligence officials, claiming that the deception was planned by Russia.

Notably, materials for the laptop had been left at a Delaware computer store in April 2019 but had never been picked up. Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and Trump's lawyer, was the one who first applied pressure to it.

Biden said during that debate, "There are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what he’s accusing me of is a Russian plant."

Moreover, the same group of former officials stated that they were "deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case" and emphasized that they did not have any concrete proof of Russian participation.

For Burgam, Biden's response from his campaign four years ago has to be clarified. He said, "I think they have to [ask him the question]. If they don't, toss the whole debate out the window and say that, 'It wasn't at all moderated in a way both the candidates being asked tough questions.'"

He went on to suggest that the first thing that should be brought up with Biden is the issue pertaining to Hunter's laptop.

"This has to be the first question because it goes back to the matchup from four years ago when Biden flat out lied to the American people which is why it's crazy they are trying to lower exceptions," he stated.

He added, "Joe Biden was so good at lying to the American public that they ended up with social media companies and others squashing any story."
