FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA: On Saturday, May 25, former President Donald Trump criticized Special Counsel Jack Smith, warning him that the prosecutor's recent actions in the criminal Espionage Act case in Florida could “backfire.”

Per RawStory, Smith sought to amend Trump's pre-trial conditions, citing the need to restrict the ex-president from making statements that might jeopardize the safety of law enforcement officials.

This request followed allegations by Trump and his associates that the Justice Department under President Joe Biden intended to employ "deadly force" during the classified documents search at his Mar-a-Lago golf resort.

Legal experts have suggested that Smith's actions may exert influence on Judge Aileen Cannon, who’s presiding over the case, or potentially demonstrate partiality toward the defendant who appointed her to the bench.

Donald Trump's response to Jack Smith seeking changes to pre-trial terms

"Deranged Jack Smith has asked Judge Aileen Cannon in Florida for a Gag Order on me, so that I cannot talk about all of the Crimes he has committed, including the Illegal, Unconstitutional, and Unwarranted RAID of Mar-a-Lago," the 77-year-old MAGA strongman wrote on Truth Social. "I guess they’re hoping they can silence me from telling the TRUTH like the Corrupt and Highly Conflicted Judge in New York City has done."

Furthermore, the 2024 presumptive Republican presidential nominee claimed that "Gag Orders have a very strong tendency to BACKFIRE."

"If anybody should be GAGGED, it should be Deranged Jack, who was recently caught doing very bad things - and I should be able to talk about that, and everything else having to do with this Hoax - from which Crooked Joe Biden was FULLY EXONERATED!" Trump posted.

Former federal and state-level prosecutor and currently the editor-in-chief of MeidasTouch, Ron Filipkowski flagged the aforementioned post by the former POTUS, saying, "Trump makes another one of his Mob Boss threats/innuendos towards Jack Smith."

Donald Trump ridiculed as Jack Smith moves to amend pre-trial terms

One X user explained, "A number of soldiers and individuals have faced jail time for lesser offenses, such as mishandling classified documents. It's unclear why the court is involved in this specific case, as it seems excessive. Meanwhile, Smith is taking baby steps here and DJT is taking advantage of the situation, pushing the boundaries to see how much special treatment he can receive."

Another user claimed, "Well the reason why I think is because the Judge on this Case, her husband used work for a Mob Boss in NY, she needs to removed and be impeached."

Someone else remarked, "That is what Mobsters Do!! Kapish?? Don Mobster!"

One user argued, "Tfg's doing everything possible to incite violence against law enforcement. He should be gagged. The ball is in Cannon's court."

Another wrote, "Of course he did. Nothing gets under his skin like Jack Smith."

Someone else tweeted, "Trump just a one trick pony."
