BOZEMAN, MONTANA: Donald Trump took aim at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in a fiery speech at a rally in Bozeman, Montana.

The former president called Walz "freakish," intensifying the already heated political atmosphere.

Donald Trump said, "Tim Walz is the man who’s very freakish, he’s very freakish."

Judge Juan Merchan scheduled Trump's criminal trial to begin on April 15, which would make it the first criminal prosecution of a former American president. Trump was charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records last year, which prosecutors say was an effort to hide a potential sex scandal, both before and after the 2016 election. “If Comrade Walz and Comrade [Vice President] Harris win this November, the people cheering will be the pink-haired Marxists, the looters, the perverts, the flag-burners, Hamas supporters, drug dealers, gun grabbers, and human traffickers,” the Republican presidential nominee added.

The crowd at the event responded to Trump's criticism of Harris and Walz with cheers and laughter.

Trump's remarks come just days after Harris announced Walz as her running mate, a decision that had been the subject of intense speculation.

Since her entry into the race, after President Joe Biden withdrew his candidacy, Harris has garnered significant enthusiasm and support from prominent Democratic figures.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz's campaign campaign hits back with 'weird' label

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz's campaign has not been shy about attacking Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen JD Vance (R-Ohio).

The campaign has leaned heavily on portraying Trump and Vance as "weird," a label that Trump has been quick to reject and turn back on his opponents.

Referring to Walz, Trump said, “Then he said, ‘You know, I think JD Vance is weird.’”

“You know, it’s a word that they use. I think he calls me that too. No, we’re not weird, we’re very solid people," the former president added.

Walz recently said at a rally in Philadelphia that he had "to say it."

“You know it. You feel it. These guys are creepy and, yes, just weird as hell. That’s what you see,” he said, according to The Hill.

“If Trump gets a chance to return, he’s going to pick up exactly where he left off four years ago. Only this time, it will be much, much worse,” the Minnesota governor added.

Internet mocks Donald Trump labeling Tim Walz 'very freakish'

As Donald Trump labeled the Democratic vice-presidential nominee as a "very freakish" person, netizens mocked the former president for his remarks.

One user on X wrote, "Trump is having Walz nightmares!!! He’s terrified of Tim Walz," while another tweeted, "Trump has nothing of substance to say. It's pathetic, really."

"The only freak is that guy who still thinks he has a chance in Nov. Kamala Harris has re-energized the anti Biden voters to give her the job in WH as POTUS," a netizen commented.

"Donald Trump is so old he can't even come up with childish nick names any more," a user opined and another individual remarked, "No Trump can own freakish like he owns weird. However in Trump’s case, he’s freakish like a monster."
