WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump’s former White House chef, Andre Rush is revealing the secrets of the 78-year-old President-elect’s well-known love for McDonald’s.

Chef Rush, a military veteran who served as Trump’s culinary expert during his previous stay at the White House as the 45th President of the USA, has recently spilled on what goes on in the kitchen when the Republican President-elect craves a burger while in White House.

The former POTUS is not only known for his love of American food like the burgers at McDonald’s but also for washing the delectable food down with Diet Coke or Pepsi.

Donald Trump’s McDonald’s secrets revealed

While Donald Trump’s love for the popular burger joint is well known, Chef Andre Rush debunked the theory that the septuagenarian would order from McDonald’s often.

Speaking to The Sun, the celebrity chef who has millions of followers on social media, shared, "You can't just order McDonald's at night at the White House.”

"It sounds nice, but no, it doesn't happen,” shared the chef before spilling that “[The burgers] would be made in-house.”

Thus, even if Trump craves a burger at night, he wouldn’t be able to get one by ordering from the restaurant.

"[You] can't get McDonald's at the White House because it's the White House - no one can bring it inside,” noted the culinary expert, before adding, "Even so, that would take huge preparations and even McDonald's wouldn't know it was going there. That's work - so the McDonald's would be more so when out on locations."

Chef Rush further added that the first meal any President takes upon entering the White House is a grand affair. As he made President Trump’s first meal when he took office in 2017, Chef Rush thinks the flamboyant leader would not be swayed from his own tradition.

Pondering on what Trump’s first meal would be during his second term, Rush - who left the job at the White House in 2019 - shared,  "He's [either] going to stay on the road and say, 'Hey, I'm going to eat my favorite foods and I'm not letting anybody change me'.”

"Or 'I'm going to eat something that's going to be healthier to let everybody know that I'm taking a stance and I'm going to kind of go forward with it',” continued the chef, before musing, "But me personally, I think he'll probably just stay to what he believes in and maybe have a burger."

Donald Trump's love for McDonald's has made headlines

This is, however, not the first time that Donald Trump’s love for McDonald’s has made headlines. Previously, in 2019, when the then-president hosted the 2018 Football Division I FCS champion North Dakota State Bison in March 2019, he ordered a scrumptious selection of Quarter Pounders, Big Macs and Filet-o-Fish.

During his election campaign in 2024, Trump famously spent an afternoon in one of his favorite McDonald’s, handing out burgers and fries.

In another viral picture posted by Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr, the President-elect was seen heading a table with his son, his billionaire friend Elon Musk, and Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The table, unsurprisingly enough, was laden with food from McDonald’s.
