WASHINGTON, DC: Alina Habba, former President Donald Trump's lawyer-turned-legal spokesperson, found herself at the receiving end of internet mockery after sharing a golfing video on Sunday, May 12.

The video, shared on X, showcased Habba playing on a golf course and included a playful jab at President Joe Biden's well-publicized stumbles on stairs, as reported by Newsweek.

In the short clip, Habba could be seen hitting a golf ball on a course. After her swing, she turned to laugh before faking a scream and playfully declaring, "It's broken," referring to her golf club.

In the caption accompanying the video, Habba aimed a dig at the incumbent president, stating, "My golf game is about as smooth as Joe Biden walking up a staircase—#TRUMP2024."

The video quickly went viral across social media, garnering over 300,000 views in the span of a few hours.

Habba's jab at Biden's walking refers to a series of viral incidents involving the POTUS' stairway mishaps. In February, footage of Biden stumbling while boarding Air Force One circulated widely on video platforms, drawing attention to his age and physical agility.

Prior to this, he had stumbled on a sandbag during a graduation ceremony at the US Air Force Academy in June 2023.

To avoid more such incidents, Biden began using a shorter and sturdier set of stairs that fold out from Air Force One's belly. This adjustment aimed to reduce the risk of falls and minimize public spectacle.

While Habba's golf course video took aim at Biden's mobility, it also brought renewed scrutiny to her client, Trump's own golfing abilities.

In March, the 77-year-old Trump won both the Club Championship and the Senior Club Championship at his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, adding to his earlier victory in the Super Senior Championship.

Trump celebrated the wins on Truth Social and Instagram, writing, "A great honor to have won both the Club Championship and the Senior Club Championship this week at Trump International!"

However, Rick Reilly, a former columnist for Sports Illustrated who has had a three-decade-long acquaintance with Trump, countered his golfing skills boast by proposing a challenge for him to compete on a golf course outside his ownership interests.

Alina Habba, lawyer for former President Donald Trump, gives an interview outside of Trump Tower on March 21, 2023 in New York City. NYC and other cities are bracing for a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in his investigation into the former president's involvement in a hush money payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 presidential election.

Alina Habba faces backlash over golf-themed dig at Joe Biden

The internet was quick to roast Habba for her golfing-themed dig at Biden's mobility.

One user on X commented, "Don't flatter yourself," while another remarked, "Your golf game is as dog sh*t as your lawyer game - in golf you try and get as low a number as possible…but you end up losing HUGE and exploding that number to LARGE numbers!!"

Another user criticized, "She is better at golf than pretending to be a lawyer," and yet another suggested, "Your 11 minutes of Fame are just about up, darlin'. Best polish off that Bio real soon."

A fifth user expressed, "Capable, confident, secure people don't feel the need to post desperate crap." Someone else said, "Things I suck at by Habba Dabba Doo: Being a lawyer, Chopping vegetables, Golf, Being a decent human being, Telling the truth."

Another predicted, "Alina is caught up in the fame. Watching her fail and fall with the criminal Trump family will be talked about for years to come." Someone else remarked, "Tell me you're trying to get disbarred for ethics without telling me you don't care."
