WASHINGTON, DC: Dr Phil McGraw visited the Southern Border on Friday, February 3, and delivered a scathing critique of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their administration's handling of the immigration crisis.

The former daytime talk show host who documented his visit to the border on X (formerly known as Twitter) stated, "Wrapping up my trip to the border."

"This is something I needed to see with my own eyes. I have so much to say and share," he wrote.

Dr Phil describes the situation at the Southern Border as a 'humanitarian crisis'

Citing Texas GOP Gov Greg Abbott's claim, McGraw asserted, "Texas law enforcement has seized over 454 million lethal doses of fentanyl during this mission."

"Governor Abbott has said that the federal government has broken the pact between the United States federal government and the states," he said.

"Governor Abbott says President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them."

"The result is a humanitarian crisis, unlike anything we've seen before, smashing records for illegal immigration by wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas border security infrastructure," McGraw continued.

"Governor Abbott says President Biden has enticed tens of thousands of illegal immigrants away from 28 legal entry points along the Texas border and into the dangerous deadly waters of the Rio Grande."

"According to the Department of Homeland Security, since President Biden took office more than 6 million illegal immigrants have crossed [the] Texas southern border in just three years," McGraw said.

McGraw also drew attention to Harris's limited presence on the border.

"That's more than the population of 33 different states in this country. And what about our Vice President Kamala Harris? Did you know she’s our country’s immigration czar? Guess how many times she's been to the border? Once," he said.

The criticism comes amidst an ongoing feud between the Biden administration and Texas officials over the handling of the border crisis.

In January, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Biden administration, allowing them to cut down the razor wire installed on the Texas border which further fueled the contentious debate over border security and immigration policies, reported Fox News.

Netizens call Dr Phil's visit to Southern Border an 'attempt to remain relevant'

Reacting to Dr Phil's documentation of his visit to the Southern Border, netizens criticized his discussion over the handling of the immigration crisis.

"You're a hack. What a pathetic, pandering, petty attempt to remain relevant. Go back to entertaining bored housewives at the expense of vulnerable people, at least you're good at that," a user wrote on X.

"Are you getting into politics now or what??" a user quipped.

"Yeah, we really need a TV 'Doctor' sticking his nose into this for more photo ops. Stay out of the way of the people who are doing the real work," another user tweeted.
